There is something about a cozy management game that just speaks to me with titles such as Unpacking and A Little to the Left paving the way when it comes to the beloved genre.

After all, ignoring that ever-growing pile of laundry in your room may seem like a huge task, but clearing through virtual houses, organising and throwing away rubbish is a much simpler task as games such as Unpacking have taught us.

Well, following the success of the aforementioned titles, it seems as though players are still eager for more and that is why one free Steam game has already bagged itself a ‘Positive’ rating after just 24-hours.

Project Homecoming Haven is a relaxing management game where players embark on a heartwarming journey as a home cleaning specialist. Developed by Toge Productions, Project Homecoming Haven will see you take on the role of a specialist whose job it is to help those who are currently grieving by sorting out their loved one’s homes in their stead.

As such, their motto reads as follows:

“We know how hard it is, to see your beloved ones leave. To see the room they’ve left, their space without their presence.

“You don’t have to face the grief alone. We can help you.

“With Homecoming Haven Trauma Cleaners, we can help you clean up rooms full of memories too painful to look at and save you from the grief of facing the space initially left by your loved ones.

“You don’t have to face everything by yourself. Let us help you.”

Help Put the Dead To Rest

In this management simulator, your role as a Trauma Cleaner will see you receive quests from bereaving families to clean the homes and rooms of their departed loved ones.

As such, you will learn about the person who occupied the space, see their hopes and dreams, their interests, their very being as you sort through their belongings and decide what to return to their family and what to keep to help you grow your business.

With each home telling a unique narrative with items around the house helping to piece together the story of the former inhabitant, Project Homecoming Haven will be a calming yet emotional experience.

Not only that but your decisions can influence the story and even uncover additional narrative elements.

Better yet, Project Homecoming Haven is now completely free to download and keep courtesy of Steam.

So if you are on the lookout for a cosy management simulator but with a heartwarming narrative threaded throughout, make sure to check out Project Homecoming Haven.
