If you’re on the hunt for an MMORPG that blends The Legend of Zelda, Palworld and Valheim, then this promising game might be your cup of tea.
There are tons of open-world survival RPGs in the market right now, so much so that it feels a tad oversaturated and reminds me of publishers and developers trying to capitalise on the free-to-play battle royale hype.
Very few games get close to replicating the kind of hype garnered from the likes of Minecraft, Ark: Survival Evolved and Rust, to name a few.
One other game that has achieved great popularity in the survival RPG genre is the aforementioned Valheim, developed by Iron Gate Studio.

However, if you’re a fan of Valheim as well as the classic Nintendo series The Legend of Zelda and the recent hit Palworld, then Shamania might be your cup of tea.
“Shamania is an open world survival game where you can craft, fight, and explore a vibrant sandbox world with friends in co-op,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam. “Expand your base as a hub for survival, gather resources, and master professions to unlock new tools and opportunities!”
Developed and published by Totem Keepers Games, Shamania does look like it has some potential, but as we all know, having potential doesn't always guarantee a good product or success.
“I'm so here for this! Can't wait to try it out!” said karamel9724 in the comments section of the YouTube trailer.

“I just watched the trailer, amazing work!” exclaimed bubbawackgaming.
“A survival MMO? Okay, I'm watching,” declared ronhalmen67.
Shamania currently has a release date of 1 September 2025, on which it will enter its early access phase on Steam.
Will Shamania be the next big open-world survival RPG? Only time will tell. I guess we’ll find out when the game launches later this year.
