God of War is back this month and it is looking great. It’s been a long time coming, but finally, God of War Ragnarok is launching for PC and it’s doing so with a host of exclusive features.

Sony has seen a huge amount of success with their first-party games launching on PC. After testing the waters it seems there’s a massive market and the company is happy to forge ahead.

God of War Ragnarok was updated with the free DLC, Valhalla, a while back and we loved it

With each new release, they come with exclusive features for PC due to the platforms power, accessibility, and customisation options.

God of War Ragnarok for PC will not only come with the free Valhalla expansion included as standard, but players can expect a bunch of visual options to make the game look amazing.

The game is out in a matter of hours as it releases at 4pm, 19 September.

Heading up the PC version of the game is an unlocked framerate, meaning the combat will look smoother than ever.

Then there’s upscaling technology included which will give players better resolutions and much higher graphical settings, so you can expect more detail and higher visual fidelity.

On top of this, ultra-wide monitors are supported for those who use them, offering options for both 21:9 ultra-widescreen and 32:9 super ultra-widescreen support.

The game is otherwise unchanged and will still close the epic story of Kratos and his coming to terms with the death of his beloved and being a father in a foreign land.

The God of War series is long-established and well-loved by the community, howeve, it’s still fairly new to PC players after they got the reboot/sequel, God of War, in 2022.

We will be taking a look at the PC release in the coming week and also seeing how it runs on Steam Deck.
