In case you were looking to play a fun free game with your friends this weekend, this one might be worth your while.
Gator Hucker came out on Steam this week as a free-to-play multiplayer title, and it seems to have been received positively so far.
It's a game about playing as a bunch of alien alligators who are locked in battle, where you can take part in teams or in a chaotic free-for-all deathmatch.
In Gator Huckers, team games are made up of 4 vs 4 matchups, where you navigate and explore a large gladiatorial arena.

You swap between different forms, using a bipedal and quadrupedal playstyles each with their own unique attributes, which can offer unique advantages across the playing field.
After you deal enough damage, you can also unleash your ultimate attack which deals a massive amount of damage against any enemies which come into contact with you.
You'll be able to select either the Super Laser or the Gorillza Strike, which can decimate your opponents and help you rack up a high score.

If you end up being defeated in battle, you can immediately rejoin the fight by 'getting hucked' back into the arena, where landing on enemy players deals huge amounts of damage.
You can download Gator Hucker now from Steam, where it's available as a free game.
Reception to Gator Hucker among its players seems to be fairly positive too, with many players leaving Steam reviews with a Thumbs Up rating, indicating that they recommend the game.
"I have played this game with friends many times on Epic Games but now that its on steam its even easier, FFA when you're all in a big discord call can be some of the most fun you can have with friends," reads one review, adding that "With fun abilities me and my friends who have different playstyle can all play the way we want to."
Another player review added that the game was "fun", also giving it a thumbs up.
Quite a few other free games and demos have released on Steam this week, which is great news for gamers who are on a tight budget.
This week saw the release of the free demos for Screamer and Mouseward, two smaller release titles which are heavily inspired by older games of the 1990s.
Meanwhile, other free games that came to Steam this week include 93, Kuindzhi, Anything But A Gun, and Unanswered.
