With going viral online offering tons of benefits, it is no wonder that so many people aim to do it. However, what happens when you add a bit of horror to the mix? That question can be answered in one new and extremely popular game which is free to grab right now.

With over 50,000 concurrent players and now one of Steam’s most popular titles despite only releasing on 1 April, Content Warning is a brand-new horror game which tasks players with recording their friends in scary situations, uploading the footage to “SpookTube” and going viral.

Can Content Warning join the likes of Lethal Company? See the trailer below!

Since its release yesterday, Content Warning itself has gone viral with thousands of players jumping into the horror game which offers a unique spin on the genre. Already standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the great multiplayer games such as Among Us and Lethal Company, the horror game by a small indie company is speeding through the Steam charts.

The game sees players equipped with a camera with the goal to venture out into the dark and record your friends in horrifying situations. Once they have captured the footage, they will have to flee and share the video online with the hopes that it will go viral. The better it performs, the more money they will receive in order to upgrade their equipment and improve any footage.

With a tagline that reads “get famous or die trying!” Content Warning does not pull any punches and is available for groups of four in online co-op mode. Not only that but it is currently free to download on Steam until 5pm today! After that, you can get your hands on the game for around £6.

With already over 6,000 reviews and a “overwhelmingly positive” rating, this fun horror game is not one to miss out on for those wanting to make some money for scaring their friends.
