Minecraft meets Valheim in this exciting RPG that looks better than ever thanks to this massive update.
When it comes to fun, immersive and creative survival/crafting RPGs, it doesn't get much better than the likes of Minecraft and Valheim.
Minecraft, especially, has inspired countless games of its respective genre, and will likely continue to do so for many more years to come.
Minecraft originally launched as a humble indie game on PC in 2011, but since that time, it has become one of the biggest and successful video game properties of all time, which resulted in Microsoft acquiring the franchise in 2014.

Spawning many ports, spin-offs, merchandise, TV productions and a blockbuster Hollywood movie, Minecraft is worth billions, and its popularity will only continue to grow as it garners new fans across generations.
As for Valheim, this was originally released in 2021 as an early access title on Steam, inspired by Minecraft with its exploration, crafting and building, but set in a Norse mythology world.
Valheim was pretty much a hit from the get-go. Now, Valheim is not only available on PC and Xbox, but it’s getting the long-awaited PlayStation 5 port in 2026.
Everwind is for Minecraft and Valheim Fans!
That being said, if you’re a fan of Minecraft and Valheim but want something a little fresh, then you might want to check out the upcoming Everwind, developed by Enjoy Studio S.A., and published by Bohemia Interactive.
“Everwind is a novel take on the RPG and Sandbox Survival genre in first-person perspective,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.
“Embark on the adventure with your friends - Build a base on a flying island-ship, gather resources, craft, loot, and fight while you rise above the clouds to uncover the mysteries of this world!”
It’s fair to say that Everwind already looked like it had the potential to be a fun and visually pleasing game.
However, following this collaboration with Intel, it now looks even better.
“Leveraging Intel’s XeSS 2.1 and Frame Generation technologies, the partnership focuses on improving performance and fluidity without increasing the burden on players’ hardware,” explains a press release provided.
The Intel partnership means that Everwind reportedly has a massive boost in framerate performance without taking a massive hit on the GPU. Meaning that on capable PCs, the game will look and perform better than originally intended.
Everwind does not have a release date at the time of writing, but it is intended to launch as a Steam early access title soon. In the meantime, be sure to add it to your wishlist to be notified of its launch.
