If you’re a fan of Call Of Duty or Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon series, you’ll want to check out one of the latest Steam freebies.

Now Call Of Duty hasn’t been my cup of tea for a long time, though I quite enjoyed the Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 beta. Ghost Recon on the other hand is one of my favourites, and as far as tactical shooters go it’s one of the best.

Ghost Recon Wildlands was recently added to PlayStation Plus if you’re a subscriber, and it’s worth a go while it’s free to play

However a new game, that you can play for free on Steam right now, might knock Ghost Recon off its pedestal, as it combines the tactical gunplay of Ubisoft’s third-person shooters with the quick-paced action of Call Of Duty.

It’s called Delta Force, and it’s possibly one of the best-looking games we’ve seen this year so far, at least the best-looking first-person shooter.

The game’s official description reads:“Delta Force, the iconic free-to-play first-person tactical shooter is now back! With 25 years of defining the genre, Delta Force now features three distinct gameplay modes: large-scale PvP warfare, intense extraction shooter action, and the legendary Black Hawk Down campaign.”

If that sounds of interest you can give the game a go for free right now via Steam Next Fest, which is giving users the chance to try loads of upcoming games at no additional cost, with indie games in particular shining amongst the selection.

Delta Force won’t just be a PC game, it’ll launch on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, so no worries for console users.

So if you’re in the mood for tactical fun, give the game a go via Steam Next Fest this week, as the demo will disappear when the digital festival ends over the weekend.
