Escape From Tarkov developer Battlestate Games has a new game in development called COR3, and it looks pretty interesting from what we’ve seen so far.
Escape From Tarkov has been one of the more successful extraction shooters of the last few years, paving the way for other games of its genre like ARC Raiders and Hunt: Showdown to find similar success.
As it happens, Escape From Tarkov developer Battlestate Games has now revealed a new game, titled COR3. Details are still a little cryptic at the moment, but Call of Duty and Starfield players should check it out.
COR3 already has a trailer and an interactive website, but nothing much beyond that right now.

The COR3 Trailer Teases A Large World In Decay
As you can see from the trailer, the game appears to be a sci-fi FPS set in a ruined world.
We start with a glimpse of the player character exploring a destroyed city on foot, holding what appears to be an assault rifle. I imagine the game will play similarly to Escape From Tarkov, where players must loot areas and escape with the goods.
The camera then zooms out from the player and pans upwards into the sky. We see a drone fly over a destroyed city highway, then we see other settlements which are also decaying, along with a space station hovering above the planet. It sounds like the game might involve more technology this time around, with drones, ships, and other sci-fi gadgets being able to be used during combat, similar to how Helldivers 2 uses stratagems during missions.
The further away from the planet we get, we see destroyed space stations and ships, along with the long-dead corpses of astronauts floating in the area. To me, this tells me that the game could potentially also feature space combat, complete with zero-gravity segments where you must fight other players in deep space.

“200 years ago, humanity was able to stand at the brink of darkness, survive and reverse mutual total destruction.
The organization that secretly proclaimed itself as the Core was able to gather the remnants of everything human and turn back the tide of destruction, by convincing and uniting the governments of the world,” reads the blurb on COR3, which can be found on the website.
The website presents you with what appears to be an armoury or office, and gives you a few interactions you can perform, such as reading the computer terminal or inspecting various equipment located inside the room.
It’s a pretty cool way to announce a game, but I’m sure Escape From Tarkov fans would rather get a bit more information about the game for now.
Hopefully that’ll become more clear later on in the year.
