This upcoming co-op FPS game looks like an eclectic mix of Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty, and it’s coming in just a few weeks’ time.

Far Far West is a cooperative FPS game for up to four players, combining the fast-paced first-person shooter gameplay of Call of Duty with the yeehaw madness of Red Dead Redemption.

In Far Far West, you form a crew of bounty-hunting robot cowboys, and take on contracts given by the town sheriff. It’s got a distinct mix of sci-fi and fantasy about it, which makes it fun for anyone to check out.

Teaming up with your pals, you track down dangerous targets, take them dead or alive, and bring home the bounty.

Many of the game’s maps take place in various wild west-themed locations, such as dusty saloons and endless deserts, with you encountering haunted mines, reanimated skeletons, and deadly storms at every turn.

You can switch seamlessly between six-shooters and fireballs, utilising two very different kinds of firepower, as well as combining spells and gear to create a character with a unique playstyle.

Far Far West Is Targeting An Early Access Launch Later This Month

Far Far West will be launching on Steam on 28 April, available as an early access title. The developers will be creating new content while also refining different mechanics and systems through a series of updates.

“We aim to grow Far Far West alongside the community. When managed well, Early access is a great way to do just that. We’re a very small team of just 6 people, and would like to proceed carefully with our EA release,” writes developer Evil Raptor regarding the early access release.

As for how long the game will stay in this state for, the developer reckons it’ll take 12 months before it is complete, and the price will also change to reflect the added content that comes to the game over time.

It’ll feature “more content, enemies, game modes, cosmetics, and weapons,” as well as expanding on existing content.

If you want to keep up on development news for Far Far West, you can wishlist the game and read posts from the developers over on the game’s Steam store page.
