A few short weeks before its official launch date, Starfield fans believe it’ll be one of the best releases of all time, due to early review copies on the way.

Xbox has a lot riding on Starfield’s success. It’s one of the biggest exclusives ever released on the platform and promises to be another spectacular Bethesda adventure, this time in space.

The past few weeks have been filled with news about the game, like the customisable starships, explorable planets in their thousands, and the exciting story it plans to tell. Now, players are counting down the days till its release, and are excited to hear review copies will supposedly roll out very soon.

Reddit user MrSteve920 shared the news in a post saying: “Review codes for Starfield go out later this week” linking to a tweet from Tom Henderson.

Fans believe this is a good sign for the game’s final release, as many believe Bethesda wouldn’t offer early review copies if it wasn’t sure it was a quality build. Despite the excitement, many are still cautious of performance issues and bugs, which have become Bethesda staples due to its previous titles.

“Big if true. A game the size of what has been implied so far would need a WHILE to digest. Also would mean Bethesda is confident the game is in a shippable state. However, the source tweet isn't from Xbox or Bethesda. Not saying it's wrong, just unconfirmed.”

“I cannot f****** wait for this game. I just hope my poor laptop can run it decently.”

“The hype for this game is huge… Let's see if they can live up to it. But I'm weary of disappointment.”

It was recently reported that Xbox urged Bethesda to delay the game’s development by a year, and has also been hard at work assisting the developers with bug and performance tests. It’s been stated Starfield will have fewer bugs than any previous Bethesda game, including Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.

Starfield will launch exclusively for Xbox and PC on the 6th of September, though early access will be available for those who bought the special edition.
