Stardew Valley is already a near-endless game, even more so when its creator reckons they could keep updating it forever.
Known as ConcernedApe online he’s made it pretty clear that a sequel to Stardew Valley isn’t a major priority right now, and why do we need one when the first game pretty much nailed it?
There’s a reason it’s available on literally every platform going
While there are likely more updates on the way you can somewhat speed up the process by checking out user-made expansions.

This of course means you’ll need to be playing the PC version but that’s arguably the best version to play anyway, I’d imagine it’s where most of the playerbase lies.
Described as “a mini expansion” FIASA is a mod that adds a small but appreciated addition to the game, a new boat.
It’s a seasonal boat that’ll arrive at the docks every now and then, bringing with it new NPCs and “a random item exchange system” so you can gamble for some goods if you’re so inclined.
Not the biggest fan-made expansion out there but it’s a worthy addition to your game, and you can also combine it with other mods if you want for something a bit more substantial.

Personally, I’m happy with the base game without all the mods, but for those who’ve done literally everything possible in the game and have gone through multiple farms these expansion mods are a great way of keeping things fresh, at least until the next major update.
If you want something completely new though there are plenty of games out there that have adapted Stardew Valley’s style and put their own spin on things. You can find plenty of them on Steam but they’re creeping onto consoles too, namely the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch 2.
