We all know that Stardew Valley will have us channelling our inner farmers and looking after all manner of animals such as cows, chickens, dogs, and more.

However, one creator has spent time aiming to make the world feel even more alive and as a result, the Integrated Wildlife mod is now free to download.

Check out the trailer for Stardew Valley below!

Stardew Valley is already full to the brim with little details, with the pixelated farming sim allowing players to live out their farming, gardening and romancing dreams on a virtual scale.

However, outside of some larger and very cute creatures, Stardew can sometimes feel pretty barren when it comes to more overlooked animals.

Luckily, the Integrated Wildlife mod aims to rectify that.

Created by Nature - xAncAx on Nexus Mods, this free download “makes the world of Stardew Valley feel more lived in”.

Players will now stumble across animals living under rocks, in the soil, in the grass, and even in the treetops.

“This mod adds 36 new integrated wild animals, from critters to fluffy mammals and reptiles,” the official description reads.

Some are rare, whilst others are more common and most creatures will spawn when you uncover their hiding spots.

That means that cutting grass, clearing weeds, digging in the mines and cleaning up garbage could see you stumble across a little critter.

Once found, they can be captured with a net or fishing rod and sold at the Insectarium (accessed via bus), Joja’s or Pierre’s. They can also be kept in terrariums in your home or released back into the wild.

Some examples of the animals included in Integrated Wildlife are koalas, green frogs, baby rock crabs, stink beetles, cave scorpions, field mice, kiwis, cockroaches, and much more.

This mod is free to download for those playing Stardew Valley on PC and is an excellent way to make the world feel even more alive.
