Red Dead Redemption 2 players stunned by 'game-changing' fast travel trick

Red Dead Redemption 2 players stunned by 'game-changing' fast travel trick

I was today-years old when I learned this Red Dead Redemption 2 trick

Believe it or not, there are still plenty of new players starting Red Dead Redemption 2 for the very first time, over five years after its release.

Now Red Dead Redemption 2 is quite a big game, huge in fact, so God knows what Rockstar Games is cooking up for GTA VI.

Now if you’re new to the game, or thinking of slapping on a cowboy hat for the very first time, seasoned Red Dead Redemption veterans have plenty of tips to share with you, some of which could save you hours of time.

One new player, reaper70, asked the wider community for some tips to get them started on the greatest narrative adventure ever made, and they kindly reciprocated.

An outpouring of tips came through in the comments, though the most helpful one came from zeebs758, who you can add a waypoint to a location you want to travel to, “change to cinematic view and your horse will auto drive you to the location.” Other players, including myself, were blown away by the reveal.

“Bless you and all your descendants for this tip.”

“Oh my god if this is true this changes everything. One of the things that I loved about the recent Assassin's Creed games is that you could just make your horse follow the road to your objective while you sit back and take in the scenery.”

“You just changed the game for me, thank you so much.”

Of course Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t just contain some secret gameplay mechanics to make the journey a bit smoother, there are also plenty of secret discoveries to find along the way.

It’s worth having a scan through that Reddit thread for a few more tips as well, you never know what you might learn.
