Red Dead Redemption 2 fan spots mind-blowing new detail five years later

Have you really been paying attention while playing Red Dead Redemption 2? Bet you didn't find this mind-blowing detail!

Red Dead Redemption 2 really is the game that keeps on giving, with the latest discovery nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s a detail you might have easily missed if you’re not looking for it, but while it’s subtle, once you spot it, you can’t fail to be impressed.

On a Reddit post that asked gamers to share any unusual details about the game they’ve noticed, one post gained a lot of traction quickly.

Here's some RDR2 wins and fails you might have missed as well!

User sitosoym said, “I recently recently watched the piano player in the saloon in Valentine. I can play piano so some pieces I know, but mostly I can tell where and when the hands/fingers are supposed to be. It's f**king accurate. Not perfectly ofc, but it makes me think that they probably hired a pianist and motion-captured them.” They then returned to their post later on to add, “Edit: I checked out a video of the piano player and even the upper body movement to intensify the playing is right, ugh this game is so good.”

Since that post was shared, it’s been upvoted 311 times, with multiple people commenting on this beautiful detail from Rockstar Games. A lot of players are impressed by how small a detail it is when compared with the game’s depth and story, yet the devs took the time to make sure the pianist moved correctly. “Such a crazy tiny detail most wouldn’t notice, not being pianists. Thanks for pointing this out, v. cool!” said TheGeneralNappa, and we agree.

Although the Red Dead Redemption 2 piano player has stolen the show in the Reddit thread, there are a lot of other unique little features that fans are praising, like being able to watch a Woodpecker actually pecking a tree. A lot of RDR2 players have heard the little critter happily tapping away, but haven’t ever been blessed with seeing it in action. Another lovely detail is how you can make money selling orchids via the mail. There really is so much you can do and see in this game, even after five years of it being out in the wild, slowing ageing; like any fine wine, it simply gets better as it matures.

Have you spotted these details before? Well done if your keen eyes have never missed a beat. Ours haven’t been quite so accurate, but now we know where to look, you can bet your last gold coin that we’ll be looking at the town of Valentine and beyond more closely.
