Where Winds Meet is currently taking the gaming sphere by storm with the hit RPG offering players everything from souslike combat, a myriad of mini-games, highly sought after cosmetics, AI chatbots, and much more.
However, one upcoming feature being added will look quite familiar to fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Released worldwide for PC and PlayStation 5 earlier this month after becoming a hit in China, Where Winds Meet is the latest action-adventure RPG to take the world by storm.
Being completely free to download, players can embark on an epic adventure in an open-world RPG set in ancient China during the 10th century.

Taking on the role of a young swordmaster (who is available to customise at will), players must embark on a journey to uncover the origins of their identity.
“Let the wind carry your legend on an epic journey to the East!” The official synopsis reads.
Compared to titles such as Ghost of Yōtei and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, despite being set in ancient China instead, Where Winds Meet currently sits at a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam with over 33,000 reviews under its belt.
Offering soulslike combat to gaming veterans, gacha cosmetics for the gamblers and an open-world full to the brim with secrets, mini-games, NPCs and more, Where Winds Meet is guaranteed to offer hours of fun.
Especially with this upcoming update.
Shared by DansGaming over on Twitter, Where Winds Meet is set to welcome brand-new building mechanics and thanks to the screenshots provided, it is clear to see where developers Everstone Studio got its inspiration.
For those who played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will recognise these building mechanics which are so familiar that it may just perk up the ears of those pesky Nintendo lawyers.
However, it is clear to see that this will be a big hit for Where Winds Meet fans as it will allow them to craft all manner of constructs with some being able to take to both the air and sea.
This is because, thanks to the new update, a group known as the Mo Sect will be added to the game and its followers are known for designing mechanisms, traps, and machinery.
More specifically, they are known to have “studied practical techniques for benefiting people, and became famous throughout the world for their skill in creating ingenious mechanisms,” according to the translated blog post.
The feature arrived on the Chinese servers on 26 November which is why we have received our first sneak peek and we can imagine the update will soon roll out in the west too.
