The Last Of Us fans unite over Ellie’s ‘real dad’

A fan of The Last of Us has provided the best answer as to who the real dad of Ellie is.

There aren’t many things that can give you more pride than being a parent, something that Joel of The Last of Us knows very well. Oh, and I suppose the HBO version of Ellie, who claimed parental rights to Dina’s baby after only dating for a few weeks.

Whether it’s the two video games from Naughty Dog or the live-action TV series from HBO, not much is known about Ellie’s dad, if anything. All we know is that Ellie was an orphan and was raised in a FEDRA quarantine zone.

However, there was a fantastic flashback scene that was not in any of the two games featuring the final moments of Ellie’s mother, Anna, played by Ashley Johnson in the HBO series. The scene was tense, and in a unique way, heartwarming.

This scene was made extra special because Ashley Johnson is the voice of Ellie in the video games. That being said, Bella Ramsey wasn't young enough to play the baby in that scene, sadly.

“Who is Ellie's real dad?” asked a Reddit user, to which a brilliant answer was provided and to be fair, it’s the only real answer that can be given.

“Joel is her real dad. As far as her biological dad goes, he is not mentioned by Marlene or Anna in the letter,” replied Superb_Creme3452. “Which means Ellie's mom and dad probably didn't have a great relationship.”

The Last of Us season two of the HBO series has recently concluded and it’s probably safe to assume that season three will be a couple of years away.

Thankfully, we can still enjoy the first two games in the series from Naughty Dog on PC and PlayStation right now.
