Resident Evil players are being surprised with free PlayStation store credit, so it’s worth checking out if you apply to this offer too.
Capcom released the Resident Evil 2 remake over six years ago, and in that time, it’s become one of the most popular modern horror games for players to recommend.
While it’s become such a hit with players, there are still many who may be on the fence about picking the game up.

Luckily, Capcom has also made a demo available for the game.
The Resident Evil 2 “R.P.D. Demo” features a small slice of the game’s opening chapter of the Leon story, in which you explore the post-outbreak remains of the Raccoon City Police Department station.
Now, the demo seems to apply to the PlayStation Stars campaign Stars Selects, where any member who plays it can earn 50 points towards their total.
50 points may not seem like a lot, but it’s a small bonus to add on to the other points you earn through the Stars program.

Once you’ve accumulated enough points, you can redeem them for store credit on the PlayStation store.
Be warned that some fans are reporting the campaign does not seem to be registering correctly, and they were not being given the correct reward points.
However, they later reported that the points eventually registered. So, if you play the demo and are wondering where your points are, be sure to wait a bit first and see if they get added to your total.
PlayStation Stars is set to shutter later this year, with users unable to earn new points after July 2025 and the service being completely retired in November 2026.

It remains to be seen if Sony will implement a new service to replace Stars, but if you’re an active user, we’d recommend grabbing the last of these free points while you still can.
