Dino Crisis is a game I’ve been longing to see return one day, so when you tell me there’s a game coming out that crosses that idea with Red Dead Redemption 2, I’m all in…

If that concept excites you as well you’ll want to keep Son and Bone on your radar, as it’s coming to the PlayStation 5 later this year…

Also coming to the PS5 this year is Astro Bot in his own platformer adventure! Check out what the adorable mascot is up to below

Back to Son and Bone though, as I said before it’s got shared DNA with Dino Crisis, which is dying for an official remake from Capcom, seriously Resident Evil has had loads so far, give another IP a chance…

Aside from Dino Crisis though, I’d also say it’s very similar to Turok, and I’m hoping most of you know what series I’m referring to there.

Now you’re probably wondering where the link to Red Dead Redemption has come from, and that’s because the game is set in the Wild West, with the player becoming the sheriff Sam Judge.

You won’t be riding on horseback and arresting outlaws though, you’ll instead be going head-to-head with prehistoric menaces, including the terrifying T-rex.

Honestly it’s giving vibes of the Peter Jackson King Kong tie-in game, which may have just unlocked a core memory in some of you because it was an absolute banger.

No release date for Son and Bone has been given as of yet, but the developer promises that it’ll be "coming soon… very, very soon… seriously,” so we can only assume it has a late 2024 release in mind.

Definitely keep an eye out for this one though, as with a bit of luck this could be a spiritual successor to those retro-dino hunting games we used to love but don’t get anymore…
