Grand Theft Auto VI doesn’t just have a release date, it also now has a second trailer.
I think we should all take a deep breath in, and a long cleansing breath out.
I don’t know about you but my heart rate has been through the roof for the past hour.

Rockstar Games disappointed many last week when it revealed that GTA VI had been delayed but to soften the blow, it did confirm the game’s release date as 26 May 2026.
That blow has now been softened even further as the studio has just dropped the game’s long awaited second trailer.
It’s once again lacking gameplay, but the story-focused trailer offers an incredible fresh look at Jason, Lucia, Vice City, and just more generally what the game has to offer.
Rockstar has revealed a ton of in-game locations, hinting at just how large the map will be, plus fans have already spotted a classic character who is seemingly making a return.

Honestly, there’s so much to unpack, including glimpses at GTA VI’s story and the possible side activities we’ll be able to attempt.
It’s a small detail at the end of the trailer I want to hone in on though.
Here it is.
This latest trailer offers PlayStation 5 users something unique; an accurate tease of what they can expect graphically.

GTA VI’s second trailer was captured exclusively on a PlayStation 5 console.
And no, not even a PlayStation 5 Pro is specified.
Everything you’ve just watched in the trailer above was confirmed by Rockstar to be PS5 footage - and if that doesn’t get you hyped, I don’t know what will.
Assumedly, GTA VI won’t look all that different on Xbox - particularly Series X consoles - but at the end of the day, Series X owners don’t currently have the confirmed glimpse that PS5 owners have just received.

If this was captured on a base PS5, it does make you wonder just how spectacular it’ll look on a Pro model or even PC eventually.
“That’s insane because it looked so realistic. Gonna be amazing,” remarked Twitter user Sunderwire.
“Was kind of worried that Base PS5 and Xbox Series X would have a hard time running these graphics but my worries have been quelled,” added EpiscopalFrog.
My goodness, they cooked.
