Rockstar just almost broke the internet by releasing the second official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer without any warning.
Following the news that Rockstar was set to delay Grand Theft Auto VI until 26 May, 2026 as opposed to its original fall 2025 release window, fans believed that things were going to stay quiet for a while, especially as it has been well over a year since the first official trailer was released.

However, in an attempt to break the internet, Rockstar has released the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI and now that the dust has settled, we can take a look at what the new footage has to offer.

Giving us another look at Vice City and its surrounding areas as well as allowing us to learn more about our brand-new protagonists Jason and Lucia, eagle-eyed fans soon noticed a familiar face hidden in the trailer.
It is none other than Phil Cassidy who has featured in some capacity in four previous Grand Theft Auto titles, including Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto III.
It seems as though the redneck arms dealer will also be starring in GTA VI after he was seen standing on top of a building called “Phil’s Ammu Nation”, firing a gun and yelling to the skies in the trailer.
This will definitely make fans happy as just a year ago, one user took to r/GTA6 and asked, “Who else wants to see Phil Cassidy return in GTA VI?’

And as you can guess, the comments were soon filled with appreciation for the iconic character.
His return was pointed out by Twitter user Wednesday Addams following the brand-new trailer, alongside screenshots of Phil’s modern look.
“Phil Cassidy?! Holy s**t,” they wrote.
“A 3D universe character getting rebooted into the HD universe wasn’t on my bingo card for GTA VI.”

This also begs the question as to how many other familiar faces will return in the new-and-improved Vice City.
