PlayStation 5 owners are losing seven classic games next month, leaving just weeks to add them to your collection before they’re gone for good.
I feel like I’ve said it enough over the past couple years at GAMINGbible but I adore classic video games. I’ve got a growing collection of physical game media but also an admiration for digital collections. I think I’ll always prefer playing a game on its intended hardware, but I can’t argue that digital collections are cheaper, more accessible, and better for capture if I want to share a clip online.
This is why I’m sad to see a genuinely good digital collection getting delisted next month, not just for PlayStation consoles but for Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC too.
You Have Mere Weeks Left to Purchase
Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection features seven titles from classic Nintendo and SEGA consoles and it only launched back in late 2023.
The full collection includes; Jurassic Park (NES), Jurassic Park (SNES), Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues (SNES), Jurassic Park (Sega Genesis, or SEGA Mega Drive in the UK), Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive), Jurassic Park (Game Boy) and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues (Game Boy).
Advert
I reviewed this collection prior to its launch and I was pretty impressed with what it was offering.

The Game Boy games aren’t exceptional but I had a good time with the SNES and Mega Drive ones, and if you’re a fan of the Jurassic Park films, they’re definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.
The collection also includes all the bells and whistles you’d expect like soundtracks, save states, and all of that jazz.
There are definitely better collections out there, but this one is nothing to sneeze at and I’ll be sad to see it go.
The reason Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is being delisted is simply due to its publisher, Limited Run Games, losing the license so it can no longer be sold.
However, should you purchase the collection before it goes on 31 March 2026, you’ll be able to keep it forever, as even if you uninstall it, you’ll still own it within your digital library. I’ve already got it so I’m glad of that.
Hopefully this won’t be the last time they’re re-released, but just in case, do your bit to preserve the classics if you’re as passionate about the cause as I am.
