The PlayStation 5’s DualSense is arguably one of the most innovative controllers out there.
The haptic feedback is largely unrivalled by much else on the market.
Stick drift does, however, tend to let the controller down as eventually, it feels like almost every DualSense controller ends up leading gamers astray.
While the DualSense remains the PlayStation 5’s flagship controller, PlayStation has now revealed the Scuf Omega, made in partnership with Scuf.

As a premium offering, the Scuf Omega won’t be for everyone but this nifty new piece of hardware could rid you of your stick drift woes.
The Scuf Omega is compatible with PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android and boasts a whopping 28 inputs.
It’s designed with competitive play in mind with 11 of those inputs being customisable, including four rear paddles, two side buttons, and five G-Keys.
You can easily remap those buttons via the Scuf Mobile App, so it’s very easy if this is your first pro controller experience.
When it comes to thumbsticks, the Scuf Omega makes use of non-contact magnetic sensing technology which ensures “long-term reliability”.
It’s also noted that players can choose from concave or domed shapes in short or tall heights so that the thumbsticks are comfortable.
Within the accompanying app, you can dial in sensitivity with true 0% deadzones as well as fine-tune “trigger and thumbstick response curves”.

There’s also an option to “recalibrate thumbsticks to maintain peak accuracy” which also helps to avoid that dreaded stick drift.
“Scuf Omega features Omron mechanical switches across its Instant Triggers, D-Pad, and Action Buttons, which is the same technology powering high-end gaming mice,” reads a post on the PlayStation blog.
“Every press satisfies with crisp, mouse-click precision. Adjustable Instant Triggers let you toggle between lightning-fast click mode for FPS accuracy or full analog range for throttle and feathering control.”
Aesthetically, the Scuf Omega shares a kinship with the DualSense controller.
“Omega’s ergonomics are 15 years in the making, refined through real-world competition and direct feedback from the pros who play at the highest level,” the post continued.
“Every contour puts the paddles where fingers naturally fall. A non-slip grip texture keeps players locked in through gaming sessions and final-circle moments alike.
“Vibration modules have been removed to reduce weight and eliminate interference during the micro-adjustments that matter most.”
It’s available to purchase now, with a RRP of £209.99 / $219.99 / €239.99.
You can order directly from the Scuf website where consumers can choose between the colours smoke, black, white, and light grey.
