I don't need another DualSense controller. I don't need another DualSense controller. I don't need ... oh. Maybe I do.
PlayStation has kicked off 2026 in style, unveiling some gorgeous new hardware on this pleasant Wednesday afternoon.
You may, like me, already be inundated with DualSense controllers; more than you could possibly ever need. But it's so hard to say no to one more when they look this good.
If you ended up getting any money for Christmas, I'm willing to bet that PlayStation is hoping you'll spend it on the newly announced Hyperpop Collection, featuring three brand new DualSense designs.

There's Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue, all of which fade into glossy black in a nice little ombre design.

That's not all as matching PlayStation 5 plates have been created so you can fully kit out your hardware in this delicious new range.
"We’re cranking the volume all the way up with a collection that doesn’t just stand out, it takes over the room. Inspired by the glow of the RGB lights of your impressive gaming setups, these new colours go loud in the best possible way," said designer Leo Cardoso, courtesy of PlayStation Blog.
Fellow designer Sae Kobayashi added, "A seamless gradient wraps around the front and back of the DualSense, finished in a high-gloss coat that makes the colors pop more than ever. The console covers are also getting the same glow-up, featuring a subtle hint of transparency."
I can't be the only person thinking that Techno Red has a major Marvel's Spider-Man vibe.
When Will The Range Be Available and How Much Will It Cost?
All three styles of the Hyperpop DualSense Wireless Controllers will be available for £74.99 / $84.99 USD / ¥12,480 (including tax) /€84.99.
As for the matching console covers, those will set you back £64.99 / $74.99 USD / ¥11,480(including tax) / €74.99.
They're advertised as being "available in limited quantities in select markets" so you better act fast if you want the whole range.
The Hyperpop Collection is due to launch on 12 March 2026 but pre-orders open very soon on 16 January 2026 at 10am local time on PlayStation Direct and at some third party retailers, although a list of retailers hasn't been made available.
PlayStation also warns, "The exact launch date and availability for the accessories may vary by country/region."
Will you be succumbing and picking up a Hyperpop accessory, or are you able to resist temptation during these very early days of 2026?
