You can download and play one of 2025’s best games for free with a PlayStation Plus subscription that should help scratch that Skyrim itch.

Without question, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the most popular RPGs of all time. It’s why Bethesda has released it on every console generation since its initial launch in 2011, because gamers keep buying it. That being said, Skyrim is a fantastic game, so we don't blame you.

However, seeing as this beloved Bethesda RPG was released nearly 14 years ago, there’s a good chance that even the most devoted fan might be looking to scratch that itch elsewhere, especially as we wait for The Elder Scrolls VI.

That very game, which could help to scratch that Skyrim itch, is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II developed by Warhorse Studios, which was released in February 2025.

In our review of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, we said, “Henry of Skalitz is yours to command, do him justice and give him an adventure filled with the complexities befitting this honest, hardworking man.”

If you’re yet to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, now could be the perfect time if you subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium. As part of Sony's ongoing Days of Play celebration, you can play a four-hour trial right now.

A four-hour trial might not seem much, but considering that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II can take anywhere between 50 to 200 hours to finish (depending on your playstyle), there’s probably a lot you can see during that time.

At the very least, this PlayStation Plus Premium trial should give you an indication as to whether or not you want to purchase the full game, and if you do, game progress and trophies will carry over from the trial.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
