Yesterday saw Sony announce the next batch of games which will be arriving to the PlayStation Plus library this September and it seems as though one addition has got fans hyped.

On top of access to a large selection of games as well as the occasional day-one release, being a PlayStation Plus member will also allow you to get your hands on Sony’s monthly selection and this September is no exception.

On top of the three that have already been added for this month, Sony has also included an additional eight games to get stuck into which range from a tactical RPG to a wrestling game and a 2023 adventure game.

However, it is one title in particular that is getting fans talking, especially as it is an indie horror game that many of us missed.

I am talking about Crow Country, a 2024 survival horror game developed and published by SFB Games and is best known for its early 90s art style and nods to Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

In Crow Country, players will find themselves in the year 1990, two years after the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow.

With his theme park, Crow Country closing after his disappearance, it is up to you, Mara Forest to creep behind the gates and venture into the long-abandoned attractions to uncover the truth.

Faced with puzzles, mysteries, locked doors and the occasional monster, Crow Country offers a classic survival horror experience with twists and turns guaranteed to make an appearance.

Crow Country currently sits at an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on Steam and since its release in 2024, the classics-inspired horror game has definitely garnered a legion of fans.

So much so that PS Plus members are happy to see it included in the library for this month and took to r/PlayStationPlus to share their thoughts.

“If you like Resident Evil games, I highly recommend Crow Country. Such a gem,” one user suggested.

User MrAnonymous117 agreed, adding, “Crow Country is an absolute gem.

I played it for the first time around a month or two ago and loved it so much that it has skyrocketed to a spot in my all-time favourites (I say that as a massive fan of old-school survival horror, so mileage may vary).

It’s atmospheric, it’s incredibly charming, and the story is just the right amount of wacky.”

With many calling Crow Country a “must-play”, especially if you are a fan of old-school horror games, it seems as though Sony has a hit on its hands with this month’s PlayStation Plus selection.
