PlayStation Plus users can get a head start on an upcoming free game thanks to this clever tip, allowing you to play a significant chunk before its launch date on 20 January.
As announced earlier this week, PlayStation Plus will be adding Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth later this month to the Extra and Premium tiers.
The latest title in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series, Infinite Wealth will be coming to the service on 20 January, but certain members will already be able to get a head start on the game starting right now.
PlayStation Plus Premium members can play the first ten hours of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth thanks to the service’s Game Trial feature, which allows you to play a few hours of the game before being prompted to purchase it.

The game trial version of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth grants you ten hours of gameplay before you’re asked to purchase it.
However, with the game coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium later this month, you’ll obviously be able to just pick up where you left off.
Ten hours is just enough time for you to play through the game’s introductory chapters and get to Hawaii, which is where the real part of the game begins.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth Is Well Worth Your Time
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the ninth game in the series, and the second one starring Ichiban Kasuga, the new face of the series following his debut in Yakuza: Like A Dragon, as he searches for his mother in Hawaii.

It’s the first title in the series to be set outside of Japan, where a major chunk of the game is set in Hawaii.
It’s a good chance to check the series out ahead of Yakuza Kiwami 3, which will be releasing on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a remake of Yakuza 3, and will be bundled with a standalone prequel titled Dark Ties, which follows the game’s villain, Yoshitaka Mine.
Meanwhile, other games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra this month include Resident Evil Village, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Darkest Dungeon 2, A Little to the Left, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, The Exit 8, and art of rally.

On the other hand, PlayStation Plus Premium gets Ridge Racer, the PS1 port of the classic arcade game from 1993.
All of these games will be available on the service from 20 January.
