PlayStation has confirmed the next batch of free games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium later this month.
Each month, PlayStation drops a small selection of games that it will be adding to the PlayStation Plus service, whether that’s across Essential, Extra, or Premium.
While new Essential monthly games are announced at the end of the month, it’s around this point each month that Sony announces the catalog and classic games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in the next batch.
Thankfully, it’s that time again, where the next batch of games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are announced, releasing in the next week.
PlayStation Plus Extra Games For January 2026
To kick things off, here are the titles coming to PlayStation Plus Extra next week:
- Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5 / PS4)
- Resident Evil Village (PS5 / PS4)
- Expeditions: A MudRunner Game (PS5 / PS4)
- Darkest Dungeon 2 (PS5 / PS4)
- A Little to the Left (PS5 / PS4)
- A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead (PS5)
- The Exit 8 (PS5 / PS4)
- art of rally (PS5 / PS4)
The big standout releases included here are obviously Resident Evil Village and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, two games which both have new entries coming up soon (Resident Evil Requiem and Yakuza Kiwami 3 both arrive in February).

However, I’d also recommend trying Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and The Exit 8, as both of those consumed my life when they launched a couple of years ago.
If you're more about the slower, cosy experience though, I'd recommend checking out A Little To The Left. It's the game that my girlfriend was obsessed with when it first came out, and you'll be there for ages trying to finish off every level.
PlayStation Plus Premium Game For January 2026
Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus Premium gets only one game next month, Ridge Racer, which is a PS1 port of the arcade game from 1993.

While fans may be disappointed that Premium is only getting one classic game this month, it’s worth bearing in mind that getting the licences for these games can be somewhat tricky.
There can be a lot of issues acquiring the rights to add these games onto PlayStation Plus, where the rights to many old games are tied up with a company that no longer exists, or another company that is seen as a competitor to Sony.
