PlayStation Plus has announced its Game Catalog additions for March, and one title in particular is getting users excited.

On 12th March, Sony announced the latest titles being added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium libraries.

The new additions include games like UFC 5, Arcade Paradise, and even some classic Armored Core games from the PS1.

One freebie in particular is being highlighted as a standout pick, with some saying “don’t skip this game”.

The game is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which is coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on 18th March.

Originally released in January 2024, the game is the first major release in the Prince of Persia series since 2010’s The Forgotten Sands. It’s also a return to the franchise’s side-scrolling roots.

In it, players have to explore a cursed city to rescue a kidnapped prince, coming up against all manner of enemies, hazards, and bosses.

The more you explore, the more weapons and abilities you unlock which help you to reach new places.

For fans of games like Metroid or Hollow Knight, it’s an easy recommendation.

Over on Metacritic, The Lost Crown sits at 86 for the PS5 version, with critics praising the game’s platforming, combat and map exploration.

PlayStation Plus users are also excited about it being added to the service.

“Do not skip this game! It's the best metroidvania in last few years,” wrote one comment on Reddit.

“Can't wait to play it,” wrote another. “The metroidvania genre is having such great entries since the PS4.”

“I don’t get why people are always complaining. The service has clearly improved a lot—most of us can agree on that,” a third commenter wrote.

“Expecting a couple of AAA games with every single announcement is just unrealistic. Plus, Prince of Persia is honestly a win.”

Users in the thread have also recommended Syberia: The World Before and You Suck At Parking as other games worth checking out from this selection.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium’s latest additions will come to the service on 18th March.
