PlayStation Plus is losing some fantastic games very soon, so you might want to check them out ASAP, as the last chance saloon looms.
With Halloween season getting into full swing, there’s no better time to feel immersed with plenty of horrific delights, whether it’s a scary video game, movie or novel.
Being an avid horror fan, I will use Halloween as the perfect excuse to fire up the likes of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and if I dare, I may even revisit Alien Isolation. Seriously, out of the many horror games that I’ve played over the years, nothing has scared me quite like being hunted by an overgrown Xenomorph.
At the time of writing, Alien Isolation is just £7.49 on PlayStation. So, if you’ve never played this game, I can wholeheartedly recommend checking it out.

What's more, if you're already a subscriber to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium, Sony’s subscription service includes some fun horror games to play today. Namely, The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and The Devil in Me.
Developed by Supermassive Games, if you’ve not played them, The Dark Pictures Anthology titles can be described as interactive movies with many branching story paths that will lead to one of the many alternate endings. Trust me, they’re a blast.
However, if you wanted to play both House of Ashes and The Devil in Me as part of PlayStation Plus, you might want to do so ASAP, because they’re both leaving the service soon.
As brought to our attention by Reddit user LaFriteFrancaise, noticed in the leaving soon section, not only will House of Ashes and The Devil in Me be exiting PS Plus Extra and Premium this month, but so will Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition, Tour De France 2023 and The Last Clockwinder.

“House of Ashes is my favourite from the series. I really liked the whole military action horror vibe. I also think it has the best characters. Be sure to try it if you like narrative-driven horrors,” recommended dugrexxar.

“I really liked the Dark Pictures games, you should give it a try if you haven't yet,” agreed ChanceAgreeable2827.
“The Dark Pictures series wasn't in the leaving soon section earlier. They quietly added two more games in this category. Not professional!” exclaimed the_sea_tiger.
I must say that Battlefield 1 is also a fantastic game. It looks great, it’s fun to play (single and multiplayer), and its World War I setting can be quite harrowing at times.
Speaking of the Battlefield series, the next entry arrives on 10 October 2025 with the long-awaited Battlefield 6 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
