PlayStation Plus subscribers have only got a limited amount of time left to play these games, some of which are well-worth trying if you haven’t already.
As a PlayStation Plus subscriber myself I know as much as anyone that not all PS Plus games are bangers.
When PlayStation announces which titles will be joining the line-up each month, both for PlayStation Plus Essential and PlayStation Plus Extra subscriptions, I often join other fans in collectively groaning about what’s been announced. Equally when it’s stated that some games will be leaving the service, most of the time I’m unbothered.
This month four games will be leaving the service, two of which I actually think would have done well to stick around a little bit longer.

The full list includes Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023 and The Last Clockwinder. Like I said before, not exactly bangers and I don’t think anyone’s going to miss Tour de France 2023, though I’d love to be proven wrong.
The two games I do consider a loss though are Battlefield 1 and The Last Clockwinder.
Battlefield 1 is in my opinion one of the best Battlefield games, and despite launching in 2016 it still holds up as a solid first-person shooter, both online and in its singleplayer story mode. That said with what we’ve seen from Battlefield 6 so far I’m thinking there’ll be a new top dog for the series.
Something that especially stings about Battlefield 1’s departure is the fact it hasn’t even been part of the service for very long, and if you still haven’t tried it yet now’s the time to do so.

The Last Clockwinder is a bit more niche but a sad one to see shuffled off if you’re a fan of indie games.
If you’ve never heard of this one before, its description says it’s a “VR puzzle-automation game. Create intricate clockwork contraptions out of your own clones and restore life to an ancient tree using automation, a collection of rare plants from across the galaxy and a team of clockwork gardeners.”
Obviously a lot of people can’t play this one as you need a VR headset but for those who do own one it’s worth a go. That said I can see why it’s being taken out of PlayStation Plus.
Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023 and The Last Clockwinder all leave PlayStation Plus on 21 October.
