Two PlayStation Plus RPGs have leaked, coming to PS Plus in April 2026, and if true, it would be huge, quite literally.
When it comes to offering plenty of bang for the proverbial buck, the RPG genre perhaps offers more value than most.
Whether it’s traditional JRPGs or western RPGs, for the most part, games of that genre will have lengthy campaigns, tons of side-quests, charming NPCs, and hopefully, will be visually pleasing to the eye as a bonus.
It’s why, if a quality RPG comes to subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, it offers even more value for customers, such as the critically acclaimed Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 that launched on the Microsoft service last year.
Two Huge RPGs Are Reportedly Coming to PS Plus Soon!
As spotted by Reddit user alldake, two huge RPGs from Square Enix and Capcom could be headed to PlayStation Plus soon.

In a tweet shared by Saudi Arabian video game media outlet True Gaming, it’s claimed that Final Fantasy XVI and Dragon’s Dogma II are coming to Sony’s subscription service.
If true, this would be a major win for subscribers, with 2023’s Final Fantasy XVI and 2024’s Dragon’s Dogma II scoring 87 and 86, respectively, on the aggregate website, Metacritic.
It’s not mentioned what tier of the PlayStation Plus service that Final Fantasy XVI and Dragon’s Dogma II would come to, but I’d rule out PS Plus Essential, with Extra and Premium being the most likely destinations, in my opinion.
“I'd be happy with either. Both at the same time is a bit of a stretch, but you never know,” replied Flottrooster.
“Imagine Dragon’s Dogma II coming to PS Plus, and at the same time a patch with proper PS5 Pro/PSSR2.0 support,” suggested Cyrisaurus.
“I remember a year or so ago, Final Fantasy XVI was accidentally free on PlayStation Plus for a day or so. And they took it off,” recalled Used-Can-6979. This is true. FFXVI was accidentally given away for free before it was swiftly removed from the PS Store.
If the rumours are true that both Final Fantasy XVI and Dragon's Dogma II are headed to PlayStation Plus, we’ll be sure to keep an ear out and let you know if new information drops.
As they say, watch this space.
Final Fantasy XVI and Dragon’s Dogma II are out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
