While many fans believe that PlayStation Plus has taken a dip in quality, some are still enjoying digging through the game catalogue to find some bangers.

A recent arrival on the PlayStation subscription service is letting some players relive the glory days, and it should be noted that this retro classic is a classic for a reason.

The GTA Definitive Edition landed on PlayStation Plus a while ago, and it compiles three amazing GTA games into one package, which is perfect for long-time fans, or those dipping into the crime spree for the first time.

One particular player brought up the game on Reddit, shining a light on the trilogy, but specifically the third game in the series.

“I know the GTA Definitive Edition isn’t loved… But honestly, I’ve been having a blast playing GTA 3 again,” said decadesdividing.

Fellow Redditor pikster1234 replied, “I think A LOT of the noise from these comes from its launch. Where it was a vastly different state to how it is now.”

GTA 3 was the first 3D Grand Theft Auto game, and it holds a special place in the hearts of fans, despite lacking as much character as the subsequent entries.

Now fans are revisiting the title via PlayStation Plus, they’re seeing the charm of it, and how much fun it is to play.

“I s**t A LOT on the Definitive Edition when it came out, but after trying out 3, it really isn’t that bad,” commented Psychological-Run-40.

“I'm playing it now and enjoying it,” agreed ViewsFromBelow.

When the definitive versions of the games first dropped, they were filled with bugs and issues, but now, those problems have been ironed out, and they’re a great experience.

“I had a blast playing last night,” noted another Redditor, which was followed by a comment that read, “Finished it recently and really enjoyed it. Good nostalgia!”
