With the price of games expected to continue rising, gamers need all the help they can get and luckily, Sony is here to help out with the chance to earn free store credit throughout May.

Courtesy of its PlayStation Stars membership scheme, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users can earn points which in turn, can be exchanged for free store credit to use in the PlayStation Store.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the titles eligible. Check out a teaser below!

So what is PlayStation Stars?

Unlike PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Stars is a free-to-join rewards scheme that allows members to take part in various campaigns in order to earn free points which, as mentioned, can eventually be exchanged for credit.

Campaigns can regularly be found on the PS Stars apps with multiple running each month and all you have to do is purchase or simply boot up any of the selected games.

That is the case throughout May as PS Stars is rewarding members with 50 points by booting up any of the following PlayStation Plus Extra games: Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Chivalry 2, Forspoken, Demon's Souls, or Mortal Shell.

Although this campaign requires you to have a PS Plus subscription, not every campaign requires it.

As for the games eligible in this campaign, there are some bangers with Hogwarts Legacy being the best-selling game of 2023 and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor giving players the chance to experience the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Additionally, Demon's Souls is perfect for all the Soulslike fans out there and despite receiving a mixed response at launch, Forspoken is a fun little RPG to try out over the weekend.

Last but not least, Chivalry 2 is a hack-and-slash adventure featuring a “very positive” rating on Steam and Mortal Shell is a deep-action RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world. Sounds intriguing.

Simply booting up any of these games before 31 May will reward you with 50 points as long as you have activated the PS Stars campaign.

Happy point collecting!
