PlayStation users have access to an RPG that’s nearly 100 hours long, and to sweeten the deal they don’t have to buy it to own.
PlayStation Plus Extra or PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers have a lot of games to play and little time to play them, we get it. I’m a PlayStation Plus subscriber and the amount of games I want to download and play v.s. how much free time I have to play them just isn’t ideal.
That said there always comes a time when you can play without worry. Whether it’s a few days off work or a row of evenings where you don’t have anything planned, when you can really sink your teeth into your backlog.
If you’re looking for something substantial to play like an RPG I’d recommend checking out Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which is offered as a no-additional-cost game for your PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a fantasy RPG set in a world on the brink of war, with a wide variety of diverse cultures and values clashing over an ancient power.
In the game you’ll play as “Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village” who cross paths on their own adventures and become friends/allies.
You can either play the game through PlayStation Plus, or if you’re feeling bold the Digital Deluxe version of the game is only around £20, and includes some additional goodies for your new adventure.
According to the ever-reliable HowLongToBeat site, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will take you around 46 hours if you just want to finish the main story.

With a bit of exploration along the way and some side quests that number goes up to around 65 hours, but if you really want to experience everything Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has to offer a completionist run will be just short of 100 hours.
So whatever way you slice it this one should keep you occupied for a while, and if you download it through PlayStation Plus and end up not liking it, there’s no harm done is there?
With PlayStation set to reveal more exclusive games to its consoles via tonight’s State Of Play showcase, now might be a good time to dive into a new RPG, as I’m expecting most of the announced titles to be scheduled for mid to late 2026.
