A supreme freebie!

Harry Potter is one of the most popular properties in all of entertainment and when a new video game arrives, it’s always a massive deal for fans of the Wizarding World.

In 2023, we were blessed with the release of Hogwarts Legacy, a non-canon Harry Potter story but it provided the best experience for fans by not only partaking in its immersive story, but it was also a joy to explore Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade Village and the sinister Forbidden Forest. It is a fantastic game which is why fans are eager for news on Hogwarts Legacy 2.

While fans await news on Hogwarts Legacy 2, which may or may not arrive, fans can still look forward to the arrival of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions set for release next month. As the name of the game suggests, the upcoming title is all about the popular Harry Potter sport, something that fans wanted to see in Hogwarts Legacy.

Recently, the first gameplay trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gave us the best look at the game yet. However, alongside the gameplay trailer, it was revealed that PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim the game up until 30 September 2024 at no extra cost.

Yet, as if that PS Plus freebie couldn't get any better, subscribers will also be able to claim the pre-order DLC for free. As spotted by Game Rant, when Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions launches on 3 September, you can pick up the ‘Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin’ DLC for free.

Usually, pre-order DLC is exclusive to those who pre-order and buy the related game. But as a bonus, that is not the case for subscribers of PlayStation Plus.

The free version for PlayStation Plus subscribers is the standard edition, whereas the Deluxe Edition will require a standalone purchase but it does come with exclusive DLC, if that tickles your fancy.

The PlayStation Plus version of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available from 3 September to 30 September, the same period in which you can claim the free pre-order DLC. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, then on Nintendo Switch later in the year.
