With each new month comes the arrival of brand-new titles to the PlayStation Plus library.

However, that also means that previous titles will be set to get the chop and it seems as though September will be a hard-hitting month for some of our favourite PS Plus additions.

Thanks to some helpful PlayStation users over on r/PlayStationPlus, many PlayStation Plus subscribers can receive a heads up when it comes to which titles will be removed over the upcoming months.

That is once again the case for September, as thanks to user Negan-Cliffhanger, we now have an extensive list of the games which could be leaving for good and heading back to full price on the PlayStation Store.

The user has based the list on Sony’s 1-2 year contracts and so the following titles will be reaching the end of their PS Plus lifespans from September onwards:

The Plucky Squire, Ben 10, Under the Waves, Night in the Woods, Chernobylite, Wild Card Football, Space Engineers, Road 96, Far Cry 5 (unlikely to leave since Ubisoft games usually stay a longer time), Pistol Whip, Secret Agent Clank, SkyGunner, Mister Mosquito, and Doom I + Doom II Enhanced.

These titles were first added to PS Plus in September 2024 and so they could stay for another year based on Sony’s contracts. However, the following games have been available since 2023 and so are the most likely to leave:

This War of Mine, Contra: Rogue Corps, Odin Sphere, West of Dead, Call of the Sea, Paw Patrol: Adventure City Calls, Tails Noir, and Dragon's Crown.

According to Negan-Cliffhanger, the games set to get the chop will be removed from the PS Plus library on 16 September which gives you just over a month to grab them before they leave.

As you can imagine, the post soon welcomed a barrage of PS Plus subscribers who were left feeling torn over the potential shake-up.

“Wow, this could be a tough month for me, so many good games,” one user commented.

“I might need to actually buy some of the games as I have zero chance to finish.”

Not only that but the original poster shared a helpful way to make the most out of the countless PS Plus titles.

“To save money, I suggest using howlongtobeat.com to figure out how lengthy they are, then start with the shorter games,” they suggested.

“Or I suppose you could look up prices and start with the most expensive titles.”

Either way, now is the perfect time to grab any of the aforementioned games before it is too late as Sony gets ready to add another batch of incredible titles.
