PlayStation Plus members are in for a treat this September with Sony adding not one, but two incredible horror games to the subscription-based library.

So if you want to get yourself in the spooky mood ahead of October, these two horror games are guaranteed to stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Yesterday saw Sony reveal an extra eight titles which would be added to the PlayStation Plus library this September and alongside a tactical RPG, wrestling game and much more, two creepy games were also added:

Crow Country and Conscript.

First up is Crow Country, a PS1-inspired survival horror game first released back in 2024.

Following the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow, his theme park, Crow Country was left abandoned and has fallen into a state of disrepair.

However, our protagonist Mara Forest is desperate to uncover the mystery behind Edward’s disappearance, even if that means venturing into the spooky Crow Country.

Set in 1990, this retro-inspired survival horror game sits at an "overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam and took the indie horror sphere by storm when it was released last year.

Now it is free to download and play for PlayStation Plus, Essential and Extra members.

Next is Conscript, a top-down survival horror game from 2020.

Set during the First World War, players must play as a lone French soldier who has to navigate twisted trenches and fight for survival in one of humanity’s most brutal conflicts.

As a new take on the survival horror genre, Conscript will see players scavenge for limited supplies, solve complex puzzles and most importantly, take down the enemies who wish to make the trenches your grave.

Conscript sits at a “very positive” rating on Steam and is now also free to play for PlayStation Plus, Essential and Extra members.

It seems as though these two new horror additions are being recommended for PS Plus members with one user saying the following over on r/PlayStationPlus:

“Crow Country and Conscript. This is a good month for horror fans.”

With both titles being compared to classic horror titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, you will not want to miss out on them if you are a fan of these franchises.

Luckily it is free to do so throughout September so it is time to dim those lights and get ready for the scares in Crow Country and Conscript.
