That's a bit cheeky

A PlayStation classic is making its return to the modern-day console but as with most things in life, there is a catch.

At long last, 1999’s Dino Crisis is making its way to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Check out the original 1999 trailer for Dino Crisis below!

The Capcom classic was a hit back in the early 2000s and told the story of repeat dinosaur outbreaks in closed environments.

Honestly, you would think they’d learn after the first outbreak.

Now almost 30-years on and Dino Crisis is back for modern-day PlayStation consoles.

However, one Twitter user has drawn our attention to a slight catch.

PlayStation Plus members hoping to get their hands on Dino Crisis at no extra cost may actually need to open that wallet as it is reportedly locked to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers only.

Not only that but there will be no trophies available to obtain and crossbuy via the Vita and PlayStation 3 is also unavailable.

To put simply, those without a PS Plus Premium subscription will have to buy Dino Crisis at full price and owning the title on PlayStation 3 does not make a difference.

As you can imagine, fans are unhappy with this news, especially considering the game is almost thirty-years old.

“For some reason some games don’t have trophies at launch and then get them added later? I’m hoping this is one of those cases,” one person responded.

Another said: “Damn I was really looking forward to trophies for this one, this must be the laziest Capcom re-release.”

We can assume that this is a Sony decision over a Capcom one but it is still disappointing for fans both old and new.

It remains to be seen if trophies will be added for the game at a later date but for now, it seems that Sony is itching to get those PS Plus Premium subscriptions.
