Last night, I completed Life Is Strange which meant it was time for me to wander back over to PlayStation Plus to pick out something new to play.

After scrolling for what felt like forever, I finally landed on Dave The Diver which, yes, is already living up to the hype after just a few chapters.

Scrolling through PlayStation Plus always reminds me of just how many incredible games I’ve played.

Yes, I’m on the lookout for something new to download, but seeing the covers of some of my favourite releases brings back fond memories - and I’m delighted to see that one of those aforementioned favourites is getting some love from the PlayStation Plus community.

If roguelike deckbuilders are your kind of thing, you are definitely going to want to check out Slay The Spire.

Included in PlayStation Plus’ extra tier, Slay The Spire is definitely a game you’ll pick up only to struggle to put it down again.

ICYMI: Among Us lands on PlayStation Plus’ essential tier today. A TV show is on the way soon. Take a look at the trailer below.

Slay The Spire essentially sees players try to ascend the various levels of a tower, working their way through procedurally generated battles.

Over on Reddit, fans are full of praise for the title.

“To the people who suggested Slay The Spire as a good game to play before bed, you are some of the most wicked human beings on the planet,” one user wrote.

“I’ve spent the last two nights staring at relic tier lists and treating each round like a chess match with a grandmaster. Terrible game before bed. I hate you all … Jokes aside, this game is addictive. I’m glad you all suggested it. It's just not a game to lull you to sleep.”

That I certainly agree with.

“Slay the Spire‘s the first game where I realised, ‘Aw man. It’s 5 am??’ in many years. I don’t play it the night before something important any more,” added atomic_horseshoe.

“Welcome,” another declared.

“I love the game. Can’t make it past the final act though and I rarely get past the act two bosses lmao,” added cyn0rk1s.

That raises a solid point. Slay The Spire is by no means easy, but I’m fairly confident that you’ll have fun taking on its challenge.
