Sony is finally adding some of the best PlayStation 2 and OG PlayStation games to PlayStation Plus in June (and the coming months), and Resident Evil fans may want to look into reactivating their subscriptions for a month or two…
We may not have gotten a trailer for Resident Evil 9 at last night’s PlayStation State of Play showcase, but we are getting the next best thing this summer.
That’s because, as revealed during the showcase, the original versions of both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are coming to the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics collection sometime in “Summer 2025”.

That’s not all, though, as they also revealed that we’re getting some classic PlayStation titles this month, too.
Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 are both arriving on July 15th, whereas the original version of Deus Ex is landing in two weeks on June 17th.
Over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit, the new additions have got some users double-guessing cancelling their subscriptions.
“Nice additions! Hopefully RE 2 & 3 have trophy support; I'm curious how they'll handle Twisted Metal 3 & 4 having a lot of licensed music, especially with Rob Zombie being a whole ass driver in 4”, commented user R-176_36.

“Hopefully we get some classic Silent Hill releases soon…”
“Right as I was about to unsubscribe from Premium to Extra in June 22nd these mfs find a way to drag me back”, replied user FatherShambles.
I mean, personally, I don’t quite think these additions are worth paying for the service again but… to each their own.
I am happy for folks that didn’t get around to playing the original Resident Evil 3, however.

While I might be in the minority of people who actually enjoyed Resident Evil 3 Remake, the remake did leave out a lot of stuff in the OG Resident Evil 3.
Plus, Nemesis just seemed scarier back then, for some reason. I mean it’s probably because I was a child now that I think about it…
