Some lucky players can now experience the joys of the PlayStation 5 on PC thanks to this huge new update.

However, with Sony itself being unable to achieve such a simple feat, gamers have understandably let loose with the negative comments.

This news comes after Paliverse over on Youtube found a way to use Steam’s easy-to-use software DSX to emulate a wired DualSense controller.

For PC and Steam users, DSX allows them to connect DualSense, DualSense Edge, and DualSense 4 controllers to PC but thanks to this brand-new video, users will be able to experience audio and haptics in order to experience the full PlayStation 5 experience.

“Basically DSX can emulate a wired DualSense, and in the works is a virtual DualSense with a sound device,” Paliverse explained.

“What this means is that games will see that virtual DualSense, and think it's a plugged in wired one.

Games will then send Audio and Haptics to that virtual DualSense, then DSX will get that data, and send it via Bluetooth. Boom, PS5 experience on PC.”

With minimal to no latency, users who follow this tutorial will be able to experience real-time audio and haptic feedback via loopback capture.

However, with this feature only being possible thanks to the work of fans, it has left PlayStation and PC users confused as to why Sony is yet to implement this itself.

As a result, they took to r/pcgaming to share their frustrations.

“Huge. It's kinda insane though that in 2025 Sony themselves couldn't do Bluetooth audio and haptic in their OWN controller,” user CharlesEverettDekker shared.

Although another user originally believed that this was already a feature with supported games such as Death Stranding 2, they were made aware that this was only achievable using a wired DualSense controller.

User VandaGrey added, “Wow...MASSIVE if this works. Sony refuses to make this happen for some reason.”

Who knows? Maybe this video will inspire Sony to work on the update itself but for now, this handy tutorial will make the most out of your DualSense controller.
