If you are on the lookout for some free store credit for your latest PlayStation purchase but are not a PS Plus subscriber then worry not, as this month-long campaign will give you the chance to earn some all-important points.

Despite not requiring a subscription fee to join, PlayStation Stars is often overlooked when it comes to Sony’s membership schemes, especially when compared to PlayStation Plus.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the titles eligible for this campaign. Check out its trailer below!

PlayStation Stars may not give you the chance to access free games each month, but it does something equally as helpful; it allows you to store up enough points which can later be exchanged for free store credit to spend in the PlayStation Store.

Earnings points are achieved by becoming a PlayStation Stars member (which is free to join) and then activating any of its active campaigns.

Not only that but there are multiple campaigns available each month and so you are sure to find one that will suit you.

That is the case throughout May as one campaign runs until 31 May and gives you the chance to earn 50 free points.

To earn the points, you will need to activate the campaign on the PS Stars app and then purchase a digital copy of any of the following games: Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Onimusha Warlords, Forever Skies, or The Last of Us Complete.

As you can tell, all of these titles are quite popular but if you have been holding off on purchasing any of them, now is definitely the time to do so.

If I had to recommend one, it would be Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as it is already shaping up to be my Game of the Year.

Not only that but our very own Dan Lipscombe called it “a beautifully painted, emotional RPG bursting with new ideas” in his review.

“This is a wonderfully imaginative game, bursting with identity, and it has a lot to say about important topics.”

Not only will you bag the 50 bonus points, but you'll also get points that reflect how much money you've spent.

When you reach 1,250 points, you can nab £5 off at the PlayStation Store. Easy!
