It appears that gacha-RPG juggernaut, Genshin Impact, is getting a huge overhaul in its next big update, bringing new ways to play and interact with the long-running world.
Taking to the PlayStation blog, Zhenzhong Yi, Studio Technical Director at HoYoverse, explained the upcoming changes and what it means for both the players and the future of Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Version Luna II, Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise — “An Elegy for Faded Moonlight.” will make its debut on 22 October 2025, and along with having the world’s longest title update, the developers at HoYoverse have big changes in store.
Headlining the update is an all new UGC (User Generated Content) feature that will allow for party games, management sims, and much more.

Expanding on the vision, Yi explains on the PlayStation Blog, “This brand-new UGC system allows you to explore hundreds of imaginative stages created by other players. You can also personalize your very own Manekin or Manekina with distinctive styles.”
What does this mean for the players? Well, you can likely expect lots of mini-games and new ways to interact with your favourite characters, playing alongside your friends.
Available for PlayStation 5, and dubbed ‘Miliastra Wonderland,’ this new UGC mode will see players join a ‘bustling’ lobby with others, to show off unique designs for characters, before jumping into games together.
Yi describes the new social hub as having “hundreds of imaginative stages, from management sims and party games to PvP battles and adventure challenges.”

Of course, players will see all their favourites together, along with exclusive rewards that can be used in Miliastra Wonderland, but also in the main adventure of Genshin Impact.
Fans will be wondering when they can get an official dating sim within the game, no doubt, and looking for new ways to experience the world of Genshin Impact.
There’s not long to wait before you can get your hands on the update, which is coming to PC and mobile, also.
