It’s always nice to claim some wonderful freebies especially when it includes a recent PlayStation 5 exclusive that was only released a few weeks ago.

This year, the PlayStation 5 has already been blessed with some fantastic exclusives including the likes of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Helldivers 2 and Rise of the Ronin. However, the topic of today’s discussion is all about the action RPG, Stellar Blade.

Check out the Stellar Blade trailer below!

In my review of Stellar Blade, I said it’s “an absolute blast and I’ve not had this much fun in the genre since Devil May Cry 5. If for whatever reason Stellar Blade flew under your radar, it needs to be added to your 2024 to-play list right now.”

In 2022, Sony launched its PlayStation Stars rewards program and with it, once players are signed up, they will be rewarded with points that can be redeemed against digital collectables, free store credit or used to buy full games outright. Players earn points by completing campaigns for playing select games, earning select trophies or just by making purchases on the PlayStation Store.

Some of the games that you can 'buy' outright from PlayStation Stars using points include indie darlings Stardew Valley and Dredge, as well as AAAs Rise of the Ronin, Helldivers 2 and more. However, as already stated, Stellar Blade has now joined that list and can be acquired with 17,500 points.

It may take a while to accumulate enough points to purchase Stellar Blade with the required 17,500 points but if you make it a habit to focus on the campaigns that reward you with points, you’ll get there before you know it. What’s more, you can easily earn points for playing the latest additions to PlayStation Plus.

If you want to bag freebies by being a member of PlayStation Stars, make sure that you’ve signed up and downloaded the PlayStation mobile app for Android and iOS. Oh, and you don’t need to be a member of PS Plus to join the Stars rewards scheme.

Stellar Blade is out now exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
