There’s a PlayStation freebie available to download right now, all you have to do is play some demos.

If you’re a fan of digital PlayStation collectibles, you’ll love to know that you can add another to your collection right now, and you don’t even need PlayStation Plus to do it.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has released today for Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms, check it out below.

The new collectable is called Melancholy and the Finite Sadness, and it’s a small cassette tape decorated with that classic blue and white PlayStation colour-scheme, along with a logo to top it off.

In order to add it to your digital shelves, you’ll need to play one of three games, these being Ragnarok (no, not the God Of War game unfortunately) Drums Rock, or The Artful Escape.

Luckily, there are demos of Ragnarok and Drums Rock available on the PlayStation Store and playing them actually counts towards the challenge so you don’t even need to own a copy of one of the games to grab your freebie.

There’s also no set time limit on how long you have to play the game for, nor is there one for completing a specific challenge or action within the game, simply booting it up and playing for five minutes is more than enough for it to count.

The Melancholy and the Finite Sadness collectable won’t be around forever so if you just can’t help but add these little rewards to your collection, better to claim it now rather than later so you don’t forget.

In other news, PlayStation fans are on red-alert after a new UI overhaul has leaked online, suggesting the next major update for the system will finally add customisable backgrounds and themes to your PlayStation 5 consoles.

It’s believed it’s currently in beta, and will hopefully roll out to PlayStation consoles in the next few weeks if we’re lucky.
