The final PlayStation Plus game of the month is finally available, and this PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 title is taking us back to 2001. Well, it’s taking us back to 2001, but in 2021. Uh, basically, it’s like what 2001 would be if it were made 20 years late– actually, y’know what? Just let me tell you what the game is.

Thank you in advance to PlayStation Lifestyle’s Zarmena Khan for the source!

That’s right folks, the latest (and last) game of June on PlayStation Plus is none other than Grand Theft Auto III - Definitive Edition.

Now, in case you’re a little confused, this is neither the original, 2001 release of Grand Theft Auto III, nor is it the full release of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy - Definitive Edition. It’s just the Definitive Edition of Grand Theft Auto III, which was included in the 2021 release of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy - Definitive Edition. Confused yet?

Oh and if you’ve heard a lot of smack talk online about Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto Trilogy - Definitive Edition, don’t be concerned.

The trilogy did launch in a pretty rough state when it dropped back in 2021, but Rockstar Games has since gone back and improved on basically every problem folks originally had.

Bugs, visual issues, crappy textures; it’s all gone, and the re-release has a much better standing online these days.

The game is only available to those with PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscriptions however, so apologies in advance to any of my PlayStation Plus Essential brethren out there.

Also, depending on where exactly you live, there’s a chance the game isn’t actually live on PlayStation Plus for the next couple of hours. It will be available pretty much everywhere by midnight tonight (GMT) however, so keep an eye on the store if you’re keen to grab this one.
