PlayStation gamers roast bonus free game: 'wtf is that'

Every month, PlayStation Plus gets a wealth of games added to the subscription, and usually it’s a time to celebrate as gamers get to add more titles to their collection.

In recent months, complaints have risen towards PlayStation Plus for offering what fans consider below par quality games, and now a bonus game has been added, those same fans are roasting it.

PlayStation announced the latest bonus game, which has arrived during the Days of Play celebration, is Fun with the Fitzgeralds, a battle royale aimed at younger fans.

When the news made it to Reddit, the fans weren’t shy in expressing their opinion.

“WTF is that?” questioned Murky-Alternative541.

In response, DrunkeNinja commented, “From the description, it appears to be an 8 player battle Royale for kids whose parents think Fortnite is too violent.”

It’s clear that the average player probably isn’t the target audience for this game, but that hasn’t stopped the disappointment.

“Oh, well then I won't waste my time,” said mauszx, and another Redditor was expressing a similar sentiment with, “Deflating, I might add.”

There’s an incredible amount of envy towards Xbox Game Pass at the moment, as the rival service has had a couple of banger months in a row, adding some of the best games of 2025.

“Xbox gets: 33, Doom and so on… We get: Fun with the Fitzgeralds,” laments one PlayStation fan.

Another user points out that this isn’t a big hitting title anywhere else either, saying, “It’s 0.99 cents on steam, the trailer was rough.”

It’s pretty clear this is a complete miss from Sony, and it has many questioning their subscription cost.

“Just because you can, doesn't mean you should,” quips BilboBagheed in a stinging reply.

Hopefully, next month will be an improvement, because most think this celebration is falling flat.
