It appears that new PlayStation 6 details have leaked, much to the disappointment of some PS5 gamers.
The PlayStation 5 is nearly five years old now, and in that time we’ve had some memorable games come out for the platform.
Games like Astro Bot, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Returnal, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have all been well-reviewed, and are rather excellent reasons to get the console.
However, it’s no secret that some fans feel the quality and quantity of exclusives has certainly dwindled in this generation compared to previous years, but this may change with the PS6.

A new report by YouTube channel Moore’s Law Is Dead has suggested that the PS6 could launch “Fall 2027 or Early 2028”, and that’s ruffled a few feathers with PS5 fans who feel they didn’t get their money’s worth.

“Feel like we didn't get enough good games on PS5, and PS6 is now coming out,” writes one fan on X (formerly Twitter).
The report also suggests that there will be full backwards compatibility with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games, and that the PS6 will also “three times the graphics performance” of the PS5.
“This is funny ‘Backwards compatible with PS4 & PS5’ All we had was remasters lol,” another wrote.
“Can’t wait to buy GTA6 Enhanced Edition on my PS6,” a third user writes. “Then buy GTA6 Remastered on PC a year later.”

As with all leaks and reports, it’s better to take them with a grain of salt until they have been confirmed or denied by an official source.
The PS6 is something we all know is coming eventually, and Sony has at least confirmed that it’s working on it, but a proper announcement probably shouldn’t be expected for at least another year or two.
Well, hopefully it won't be a long wait.
