What looks to be one of the first games on the PlayStation 6 is going to make us all feel ancient.

In February 2024, Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima announced that he is working on a new action espionage game called Physint.

Not much is known about the game, but with it featuring espionage, many will likely expect at least a hint of Metal Gear Solid thrown in for good measure. That being said, this is Hideo Kojima we’re talking about, so there’s no telling what we might end up getting.

Right now, Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions will be getting ready for the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which recently went gold.

Hideo Kojima is also working on a new horror game that will be music to the ears of P.T fans. However, not much is known about this game either, other than it’s a horror game called OD and it will be an Xbox exclusive.

Going back to Physint, Hideo Kojima has recently teased that it will be released in five or six years, which puts it firmly into next-gen territory on the PlayStation 6.

Responding to an article shared on Reddit from VGC, players are troubled by how much they might age by the time Physint graces us with its presence.

“Lately, any discussion on upcoming games just makes me realise how old I'll be when they finally release and how I might just not get to play some of them or the sequels,” said AloversGaming.

“That's a fun new thought, thanks,” replied the sarcastic, rom439.

“Didn't we wait like 10+ years for Final Fantasy VII Remake?” recalled esperind.

There’s every chance that Physint will get delayed, and if so, waiting ten years for its arrival is not outside the realm of possibility. I just hope we’re all alive by then.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on 26 June 2025 for PlayStation 5.
