On top of PlayStation Plus’ monthly offerings, some titles can slip under the radar despite being an underrated banger to say the least.

That is definitely the case for one sci-fi adventure which is available for free for all PlayStation Plus Extra members and has one fan calling it “a very pleasant surprise”.

First released back in 2023 and developed by Starward Industries, The Invincible is a story-driven adventure set in a sci-fi world first created by Polish author Stanisław Lem.

Set on the planet of Regis III, The Invincible will see players take on the role of scientist Yasna who must deploy the help of atompunk tools in order to look for a missing crew. However, with unforeseen threats around every corner, you will have to make choices and learn how to protect yourself in a world governed by science.

“You are a highly qualified, sharp-witted astrobiologist named Yasna,” the official synopsis reads.

“Being entangled in a space race, you and your crew end up on the unexplored planet Regis III. The scientific journey quickly turns into a search mission for lost crewmates.

Follow its trail, but be fully aware that every decision you make can bring you closer to danger.”

With eleven possible endings, the decisions you make throughout the course of your journey will have a massive impact and in this deeply philosophical story, you can expect those choices to deeply impact Yasna and her crew.

As you explore the planet of Regis III, you will uncover all manner of discoveries ranging from fellow companions to robots and everything in between.

Everything you discover will be reported to your Astrogator and it is his voice which will guide you as you dive more into the world of humanity’s greatest threat.

Players fully recommend this gem

As mentioned, The Invincible is now free to play for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers and one user over on r/PlayStationPlus recently shed some light on the underrated title.

“Found this game on Plus and got straight away captivated,” they shared.

“It is not my usual go-to style but was a very pleasant surprise.”

It was not long before fellow fans came forward with their own thoughts.

“One of my favourite games of all time,” one comment read.

“I think I spent around 4 hours total just using the photo mode. I wish I had a PC so I could mod the photo mode and remove all restrictions.

Still, I loved every second of it. You can see how much love and passion the developers put into this game while exploring and just looking at all the little details everywhere.”

So if you are on the lookout for an underrated PlayStation gem, make sure The Invincible does not slip under your radar once again.
